About Our Program
Louisville Classical Academy offers students in Grades 3–12 an education that instills general knowledge, develops the intellect, and preserves pleasure in learning for its own sake.  Using strategies developed over two millennia in the pursuit of academic excellence, our classes blend grade levels to better enable each student to work at his level in each subject area.  The Academy is designed for the full-time student, but part-time (home schooling) students are welcomed where space is available.

Louisville Classical Academy has no affiliation with any faith tradition, and we respect students of every faith or philosophical stance. The curriculum is generally aligned with that of the most rigorous college-preparatory schools.  In the humanities, that includes an enriched study of Western religion and important sacred texts as essential to historical and cultural literacy.

Most Academy teachers have advanced degrees and are known for teaching excellence in multiple disciplines.  All share in the Academy's mission with a spirit of mutual respect and collegiality that fosters close communications in support of its program and students.  Recognizing the teacher as the critical factor in educational outcomes, teachers receive more than 80% of all tuition paid, a model that respects and retains outstanding teachers.

The Academy's Core Program is covered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  The Monday-Friday program option provides a five day program for those who need that option or are interested in its enrichment offerings.
