Louisville Classical Academy was founded in 2006 by teachers who share a passionate belief that the classical approach to education is superior, both in its goals and in its methods.  The faculty collaborates on  curriculum design and pedagogical strategies, seeking to connect and reinforce learning across the curriculum. All aspire to be 'models worthy of imitation' by modeling high standards for learning and personal ethics.
The faculty collectively bring to Academy students a broad and varied experience of the world for which they are preparing:  the highest levels of education (most have masters and doctoral degrees), the legal profession, the political process, mission work, and commerce.  The teachers for the 2008-2009 academic year have nearly two centuries of aggregated teaching experience to share with their students and each other.
